Ullethane tells them that they are ready to do battle with his hated enemy Aldinach the Mason who wears the skin of the deva that Allystaire imprisoned. Her very appearance is so dreadful that it causes anyone who looks on her to turn to stone! Ullethane tells the heroes that Aldinach often travels to his village to torture the souls of his kinsmen who are trapped in their stone forms.
The heroes travel to Ullethane's village where they find his kinsmen turned to stone. Soon after arriving the dreaded Aldinach alights on to the top of the village great hall. Cassim has taken refuge inside the great hall but hears the devil atop the hall. The rest of the heroes engage the fiend with arrow and spell.
The heroes force of will is strong enough to resist the fiends horrid appearance, but they still feel their limbs grow heavy and their joints stiffen under the devil's powerful gaze.
Aunrae tires of the fiend and calls down a divine column of flame that engulfs the devil and sets the great hall ablaze. Cassim flees the burning building and engages the townsfolk turned statues that Aldinach magically animated as her pawns.
The battle rages on with the animated stone villagers drawing much of the heroes fire. Amalielle creates a magical stone wall to segregate several villagers while Aunrae summons a spectre to great effect against the Mason.
Aldinach enraged by the drow priestess' audacity flies down to deal with her personally! Fortunately this also brings her in range of Callista's holy greatsword. With the combined effort of divine bolstering spells, undead minions, and crafty use of arcane trickery. The heroes finally defeat and behead the dreaded herald of Allystaire!
With the fiend destroyed the townsfolk are restored to their flesh and blood forms. The Reavers return to Ullethane with the good news and the head of Aldinach. Ullethane is impressed and overjoyed and tells the heroes that they are truly the stuff of legend and prophecy. Ullethane invites the heroes back to the village where he and his kinfolk honor the Reavers with song and celebration. The Reavers have earned free entrance to the fabled Reaver Hall!
